vietnam‘s National Tourism Year 2016 will feature a wide range of distinctive festive, cultural activities and events taking place throughout the whole year of 2016, including Mekong Delta Cuisine Festival, National Dragon Boat Racing Championship, Folk Songs Festival, International Semi-marathon Race, Industrial Trade Fair, Photos Exhibition, etc. In particular, Kien Giang will primarily hold 11 activities and the others will take place in many different provinces across the country, from the North to the South.

In January, the province will organize a ceremony to officially announce the Tourism Year 2016. After that, the opening ceremony of The National Tourism Year 2016 – Phu Quoc – Mekong Delta will take place on April 30, 2016.

To prepare for this important event, Kien Giang province has an ambitious plan to intensify its number of hostels and hotels to 375, offering 8,575 rooms by the end of 2015 in order to well meet the growing demand of tourists next year.
