Ea Kao Lake

The lake in Ea Kao commune, 12km from the center of Buon Ma Thuot to the southeast, was formed by building a hydraulic work serving for growing rice and coffee.

Although this work has been put into practice from 1983, the space of Ea Kao Lake is still unspoiled with a diverse ecosystem of many species of fish, freshwater shrimp. Ako Dhong village

Situated on the outskirt of Buon Ma Thuot City, about 2 km to the North, there is a village of Ede ethnic people called Ako Dhong, also known as Co Thon. According to the Ede elderly, “Ako” means upstream and “Dhong” means valley. Ako Dhong means the upstream valley.

The peaceful village is an attractive destination for local and foreign visitors thanks to traditional activities of Ede people like making ruou can (wine stored in a big jar and drunk by using a long pine), weaving brocade, festivals as well as scenic lakes and pristine forests.

Chu Yang Sin National Park

As a part of endemic bird areas of Da Lat Plateau, Chu Yang Sin National Park has a diverse ecosystem of rare animals and plants. It was initially discovered 867 species of plants at the park, including a bamboo forest and rare species like perfume wood, frankincense, blue cypress. In addition, it’s found eight species of birds including red head chickens and rare sparrows in this national park.
